The webinar will end with a Q&A session and will last up to one hour.

The finishing section is the final and critical step in the urea production chain, where molten urea is transformed into solid fertilizer products with the physical properties required for storage, transportation, and agricultural application. Over the past decades, urea finishing technologies have evolved significantly, driven by increasing demands for improved product quality, reduced emissions, enhanced operational reliability, and greater production flexibility.

This webinar provides an overview of the principal urea finishing technologies used in the fertilizer industry, including prilling and fluidized-bed granulation. The presentation will discuss the fundamental principles of particle formation, key process equipment, product quality considerations, and the advantages and limitations of different finishing routes. Special attention will be given to modern granulation technologies that enable high-capacity production and stringent environmental compliance.
In addition, recent developments that expand the role of the finishing section beyond conventional urea production will be presented, including solutions for emission reduction, salt reworking, sulfur-containing products, and other specialty fertilizer applications.
